About the Role

K12 Coalition is looking for a highly creative and AI-first Vibe Coder to work with our growing Technology Team on a contract basis. This role is perfect for a developer who thrives using modern AI tools to rapidly design, prototype, build, and improve software solutions.

You will work closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to turn ideas into working applications quickly and efficiently. We want someone who embraces AI-assisted development, moves fast, thinks like a builder, and still delivers clean, scalable solutions.

This is not a traditional ticket-only developer role. We want someone who can understand the vibe of the product, collaborate meaningfully, and creatively solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain applications using Python, C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and SQL Server
• Use AI coding tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, opencode , etc.) to accelerate development
• Translate ideas from technical and non-technical stakeholders into working prototypes and production-ready solutions
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries
• Work with APIs, integrations, and modern web technologies
• Debug issues and improve application performance
• Participate in architecture discussions and solution planning
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and stakeholders to improve user experience
• Write maintainable, scalable, and well-documented code
• Leverage emerging AI-driven development practices to rapidly solve business problems and improve operational effectiveness 

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with:
• C#
• .NET Framework / .NET Core
• ASP.NET MVC or Web API
• SQL Server
• Python
• Strong understanding of relational database design
• Experience writing advanced SQL queries and stored procedures
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience using Git/source control
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Comfortable using AI tools for software development
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with US-based stakeholders and team members 
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and remote work environment suitable for virtual collaboration 
• Available to collaborate during overlapping US business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure or AWS
• Understanding of Spec-Driven Development using coding agents
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue
• Experience building internal business systems or SaaS applications
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum workflows
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Prior remote work experience with US-based companies

Contract Details

• Independent contractor position (40 hours per week)
• Remote work from the Philippines
• Flexible working hours with overlap to US business hours as needed
• Long-term contract opportunity
