We are looking for a
Veterinarian with expertise in
animal health, production medicine, and nutrition for hogs and poultry. This role is essential in ensuring optimal herd and flock
performance, disease prevention, and science‑based nutritional programs that
support farm productivity and animal welfare. You will work closely with farm operations,
nutritionists, and technical teams to deliver high‑quality veterinary support and implement best practices across all production stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health programs for hogs and poultry, including vaccination schedules, biosecurity protocols, and disease prevention strategies.
- Provide technical guidance on nutrition, feed formulation, and performance optimization.
- Conduct regular farm visits, health assessments, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Lead investigations on disease outbreaks, mortality spikes, or performance issues.
- Collaborate with R&D, nutrition, and production teams on product development and field trials.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, animal welfare guidelines, and veterinary best practices.
- Train farm personnel on proper animal handling, medication administration, and biosecurity.
- Prepare veterinary reports, case summaries, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), licensed to practice.
- Experience in hog and/or poultry production, veterinary pharmaceuticals, or feed/nutrition industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of production medicine, disease management, and farm systems.
- Familiarity with feed formulation, nutritional requirements, and performance indicators.
- Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in farm and manufacturing environments.
