Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer – Java/Python/AI to support the development of backend systems and AI-enabled applications. This role is ideal for someone building hands-on experience in software engineering, backend development, and applied AI while working under clear technical direction and guidance from more experienced engineers.
The Junior Software Engineer will focus on technical execution: completing clearly defined tasks, writing clean and maintainable code, learning established development patterns, and collaborating with the team to deliver reliable software features.
Venture Factory Team, fast deployment prototypes. The expectation for this role is that we release code in less than sprint timelines, for working prototypes for the SaaS market. Full stack engineering required. Including working with REACT libraries.
Job Qualifications
- Foundational experience or training in software engineering, backend development, or AI/ML-related development
- Basic experience with Python for backend or AI-related development
- Basic experience with Java for backend or enterprise applications
- Foundational understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and version control using Git
- Exposure to AI and machine learning concepts, including LLMs or prompt engineering, is a plus
- Ability to follow technical direction, ask questions, and learn from feedback
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with team members
- Strong learning mindset, adaptability, and sense of ownership
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and maintain assigned backend services and APIs using Java and Python
- Support the implementation and integration of AI or machine learning features
- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code based on team standards
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation activities
- Assist in data processing, analysis, and AI model integration tasks
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and complete assigned tasks
- Follow best practices in security, performance, and reliability under guidance
- Continuously improve technical skills and stay updated on relevant technologies
