VB.NET/MS-SQL(T-SQL) Developer

Job Description:

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications using VB.NET.
• Develop, modify, and optimize MS SQL Server databases, queries, and T-SQL stored procedures.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application and database issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Optimize application and database performance.
• Support system integration, testing, deployment, and production activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and system specifications.
• Collaborate with business users, project managers, and technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Provide production support and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development using VB.NET.
• Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development.
• Query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience in debugging and enhancing existing legacy applications.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Hands-on experience in:

• Stored Procedures
• Functions
• Views
• Triggers

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ASP.NET (VB.NET) applications.
• Familiarity with .NET Framework 4.5/4.6 or above.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience in the Banking, Finance, or Insurance domain.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
