Job Description
About the Role
Our client is an automated business valuation platform serving Australian clients. The Valuation Specialist sits at the core of the delivery pipeline, taking system-generated valuation outputs and cross-checking them against client-submitted financial documents to produce accurate, defensible results.
This is a process-driven role requiring high discipline, strong analytical capability, and exceptional written English. The right person follows a structured system precisely, exercises sound judgement where the process requires it, and communicates clearly with clients via email.
Schedule Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sydney time (40 work hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Receive client submission packages through the company's valuation platform, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting financial documents
- Review and cross-check automatically generated valuation outputs against submitted documentation
- Identify discrepancies and apply reasoned adjustments within the established valuation framework
- Manage email correspondence with clients, including clarification requests and pre-issue sign-off queries
- Flag cases requiring Senior Valuer review and prepare a concise briefing for handover
- Maintain accuracy and turnaround standards across a high-volume queue
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Chartered Accountant, qualified under Australian standards (CPA equivalent considered; must hold or be eligible for an Australian practising certificate)
- Minimum 2–3 years of business valuation experience; experience gained in another jurisdiction is accepted provided Australian accreditation is held
- Demonstrated ability to work within structured systems and process frameworks
- Exceptional written English communication, as client-facing email correspondence is a core part of this role
What We Are Looking For
- Process-oriented, detail-focused, and disciplined
- Enough cognitive flexibility to know when to move within the framework, not just follow it mechanically
- An appreciation for valuation as both a science and an exercise in informed judgement
- A professional email manner that inspires confidence in clients even without direct contact
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will complete a written case study using a sample client submission package. Email and written communication samples will be assessed as part of the process.
