Job Summary:
- Lead the execution of valuation engagements for complex financial instruments (including plain vanilla and exotic derivatives, structured products, equity and debt securities) for mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, financial reporting and restructuring, tax and financial advisory purposes
- Build, review, and validate pricing and valuation models, ensuring accuracy and reasonableness of assumptions and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Research and implement best practices in quantitative valuation methodologies, including closed-form solutions, stochastic models, binomial trees, and Monte Carlo simulations
- Prepare and deliver high-quality valuation reports and presentations.
- Drive business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and client pitches.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle and resolve valuation issues.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns, fostering technical and professional development.
- Work with partners and senior staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.
What You Need To Have:
- Strong academic background with a Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Financial Mathematics, Computational Finance, or similar degrees
- Professional qualification in accounting / FRM / CFA or progress toward certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of valuation experience acquired with the valuation practice within an accounting, professional services firm, or a bank
- Experience in building and/or validating pricing models would be an added advantage
- Strong understanding of quantitative finance (including equity, interest rate, FX, and credit models) and proficiency in advanced techniques such as binomial trees, Monte Carlo, and stochastic models
- Expertise in implementing valuation models for financial instruments in programming languages (e.g., VBA, Python) is essential
- Knowledge of business valuation and intangible asset valuation techniques (discounted cash flow, trading multiples) is an advantage
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and presentation/report-writing skills with attention to detail, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers
- Ability to manage multiple projects, lead teams, and perform under pressure
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and developing good relationships with clients, senior management, and partners
- High proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage
