Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Utility Staff is responsible for ensuring that the clinic premises are consistently clean, organized, and well-maintained. This role plays a critical part in creating a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the clinic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of all clinic areas, including patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and administrative spaces.

  • Ensure that all equipment, furniture, and fixtures are clean, orderly, and in proper working condition.

  • Properly handle and dispose of medical and non-medical waste in accordance with clinic protocols and safety regulations.

  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.

  • Assist in preparing clinic spaces for daily operations, special events, or patient appointments as required.

  • Follow all health, safety, and infection control protocols to minimize risks to staff and patients.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum educational requirement: Vocational Diploma or completion of a relevant short course.

  • At least 1 year of working experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or a related field is required.

  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, disinfectants, and hygiene standards is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain consistent quality of work.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
