The Qualifications We Seek
- 1-3 years of proven experience in C&I operations within the Australian electricity industry (non-negotiable)
- Hands-on experience with AU metering processes and service order management (non-negotiable)
- Strong knowledge of the Australian electricity market framework
- Experience using billing systems and managing account setup and pricing configurations
- Solid understanding of onboarding processes, transfers, and operational workflows
- High attention to detail with strong focus on system accuracy and compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional phone manner
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Experience in C&I billing, including validation and exception handling, is an advantage
- Background in collections and overdue account management is an advantage
- Exposure to broker-led environments is an advantage
Your Daily Tasks
- Set up and maintain C&I customer accounts and pricing plans in billing systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with contractual terms
- Perform quality assurance checks on rates, payment terms, metering details, and onboarding documentation prior to billing commencement
- Manage transfers and ensure all onboarding activities are completed within required timeframes
- Raise, track, and complete metering service orders, coordinating installations, upgrades, exchanges, and investigations with providers and distributors
- Resolve operational discrepancies promptly and maintain system accuracy and compliance
- Handle customer and broker enquiries via phone and email, providing timely updates and managing onboarding and account-related concerns through to resolution
- Ensure roll-in and roll-out requests are processed accurately and communicated effectively to stakeholders
- Support billing validation, exception handling, and investigation of discrepancies as needed
- Monitor payments and initiate collections activities for overdue accounts in line with company policy, contributing to revenue integrity and risk management
- Collaborate with the team to support daily operations, adapt to changing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines
- Contribute to process improvements, maintain regulatory compliance, and escalate issues or incidents as required
