The QA Specialist job will be to review abstracted data from abstractors in abstraction platforms such as Label Studio or other data capture platforms. Provide feedback and resolve queries of Abstractors and ensure seamless data abstraction with strict adherence to guidelines or policies and procedures. Development of guidelines or policies and procedures based on Client provided Clinical reports and key parameters to be captured.
Qualifications Experience & Required Skills:
- PHRNs/ USRNs with excellent understanding of Anatomy, Physiology & Medical Terms & Terminologies
- 3 – 5 years of experience in medical abstraction / clinical documentation with Quality Assurance experience would be preferable.
- Good English communication skills
- Knowledge of various source documents such as Cytogenetics, FISH reports, NGS molecular diagnostic reports, Flow cytometry reports, Clinical notes, summaries and various lab reports.
- Knowledge of medical abstraction tools such Label Studio or other data capture platforms
- Knowledge of standard medical ontologies such as SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, HGNC, ISCN, MedDRA, ICD-O-3 and other onotologies
Job Responsibilities:
- Establishing trending on various types of errors and reviewing query tracker for better quality and sharing the feedback with larger team on periodic basis.
- Analyze escalations on review panel submission categorized as errors and analyze flagged errors reverted by Client
- Understand disagreements on Duplicate Abstraction and suggest corrective action to Abstractors to reduce the rate of Abstractor Error.
- Weekly Quality Review with Abstractors to discuss RCA and CAPA on Review Panel Inappropriate Escalation, Flagged errors, and Disagreements to Duplicate Abstraction.
- Assist Team Leads to identify and create development plan for associates not meeting expected quality standards.
- Discuss SLA performance and create a glide path for individuals with consistently low scores
