Job Description

Role overview

The Senior UX Designer will make Lhoopa's internal systems and external platforms easier

to use, faster to learn, and harder to misuse. You'll redesign workflows end-to-end, reducing errors, simplifying complex operational steps, and improving efficiency across tools such as ERP modules, dashboards, ticketing, operations systems, and

partner-facing applications (e.g., broker, contractor). You'll work closely with Product Owners, Operations, Developers, and QA to ensure designs are feasible, testable, and shipped with quality.

What success looks like (first 36 months)

  • Critical operational workflows are mapped, simplified, and measurably faster to complete.
  • High-friction screens and modules (ERP/dashboard/ticketing) are redesigned with fewer clicks, fewer edge-case errors, and clearer UX writing.
  • UX decisions are grounded in real user insights (Ops teams, brokers, contractors) and validated through usability testing.
  • Design handoffs are development-ready (clear specs, annotations, states, edge cases), reducing rework during implementation.

Key responsibilities

UX & workflow design

  • Design clear, efficient user flows across internal and external systems.
  • Simplify complex operational processes into intuitive, step-by-step experiences.
  • Improve usability of ERP modules, dashboards, and operational tools.

User research & problem discovery

  • Conduct user interviews, feedback sessions, and lightweight field observation.
  • Understand how employees, brokers, and contractors actually use the systems day-to-day.
  • Identify pain points, bottlenecks, and usability issues; translate them into actionable design hypotheses.

Wireframing, prototyping, and UX writing

  • Produce wireframes and interactive prototypes (Figma or similar).
  • Translate business/operational requirements into clear UI structure, microcopy, and interaction patterns.
  • Ensure labels, messages, instructions, and error states are consistent and easy to understand.

Usability testing & iteration

  • Test early concepts and post-release experiences with real users.
  • Gather feedback, iterate quickly, and advocate for the changes that remove confusion and reduce rework.
  • Drive measurable improvements (task success rate, error rate, time-on-task, adoption).

Collaboration & implementation quality

  • Partner with Developers and QA to ensure designs are correctly implemented.
  • Provide clear design documentation, annotations, and edge-case handling (empty states, loading, validation, permissions).
  • Balance user needs with business goals, system constraints, and technical limitations.

Consistency & design standards

  • Follow and contribute to the company's design system.
  • Ensure consistency across modules and platforms.
  • Promote scalable and maintainable UX patterns across teams.

Qualifications

Must-have

  • Strong user-centered design practice with proven experience improving workflows and systems.
  • Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with Developers and QA in real delivery cycles (from design to build to test).
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearlyusing rationale, tradeoffs, and evidence.

Helpful / nice-to-have

  • Experience designing internal tools, operational systems, or ERP-like environments.
  • Experience designing for enterprise users with complex rules, exceptions, and permissions.
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices. Technical awareness (no coding required)
  • Understanding of system-driven workflows and real-world operational constraints.
  • Awareness of front-end/back-end limitations and how they shape UX decisions.

Core competencies (how we work)

  • Systems thinking: you see the end-to-end workflow, not just the screen.
  • Pragmatism: you can ship improvements in iterative releases, not only perfect redesigns.
  • Clarity: you make the complex feel obviousthrough structure, interaction, and words.
  • Collaboration: you bring Ops, Product, Dev, and QA along with you.
