US Tax Manager

Salary Range: PHP 160,000 - PHP 170,000+

We are seeking a strategic, highly capable US Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements, mentor preparers, and drive client relationships for US-based accounting practices. In this high-impact management role, you will oversee end-to-end tax compliance, review complex corporate and individual returns, conduct technical tax research, and optimize engagement workflows. Operating remotely on a US-aligned night shift, you will serve as a key technical resource, guiding junior talent while identifying tax planning opportunities that deliver real commercial value.
Your Impact
Tax Review & Engagement Management: Oversee and review complex US federal, state, and multi-entity tax returns and supporting workpapers, ensuring high accuracy, proper documentation, and deadline compliance.
Technical Research & Advisory: Research sophisticated technical tax issues, analyze complex return positions, and present clear, actionable conclusions in writing and verbally to executive teams and clients.
Client Service Leadership: Maintain direct, year-round communication with client CFOs and leadership, leading client discussions, managing expectations, and identifying proactive tax planning solutions.
Team Development & Mentorship: Provide timely, actionable performance feedback to tax preparers, delegate tasks effectively, and train accountants on tax legislation and firm-supplied tax software.
Workflow & Process Optimization: Manage engagement schedules, monitor utilization and budget efficiency, solve resource bottlenecks, and implement continuous process improvements.
What You Bring
The Experience:Intermediate to advanced experience in US tax preparation and technical review, alongside strong problem-resolution skills and a proven supervisory or team leadership track record.
Credentials: Active CPA license is required (or a minimum of 5+ years of highly relevant US public accounting tax experience). A four-year Bachelor's degree is required, along with a commitment to maintaining 40 hours/year of continuing professional training.
Tax Software & Tool Mastery: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, firm tax technologies, and professional tax software, with the ability to coach staff on best practices.
Communication & Strategic Mindset: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills to articulate complex tax concepts clearly to US business owners and internal executives.
US Shift Readiness: Willingness and home-office capability to work a full-time, US-aligned night shift schedule.
