We are seeking a versatile US Tax Accountant to manage full-charge bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and US tax return preparation across individual and corporate entity types. Combining a foundation in general accounting with hands-on US tax experience, you will utilize QuickBooks Online and ProConnect Tax Online to execute bank reconciliations, maintain sub-ledgers, and prepare error-free tax filings (Forms 1040 and 1120) ready for senior review. Operating onsite from any of our facilities on a US-aligned night shift, you will serve as a core technical asset for an established US accounting practice.
Your Impact
- US Tax Return Preparation: Prepare complete federal individual tax returns (Form 1040) and corporate tax filings (Form 1120), including all supporting schedules and forms via ProConnect Tax Online.
- General Ledger & Bookkeeping: Execute full-charge bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online-including bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing.
- US Entity & Regulatory Navigation: Apply understanding of major US business entity structures, federal/state tax mandates, and IRS research resources to resolve tax queries and locate required tax forms.
- Data Verification & Audit Binders: Review client financial records and source documents against accounting ledgers, assembling clean, well-organized tax workpapers and audit trails.
- QBO Certification & Best Practices: Maintain advanced system proficiency by achieving QuickBooks Online Certification and adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Onshore Partner Engagement: Collaborate directly with US firm managers under a continuous feedback loop to ensure seamless workflow execution and timely tax season deliveries.
What You Bring
- The Experience:2+ years of hands-on Philippine generalist accounting experience, complemented by at least 1+ year of dedicated US Tax experience.
- Software Competency:At least 1-2 years of experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and at least 1+ year of hands-on experience using ProConnect Tax Online.
- Tax Knowledge: Working familiarity with US tax compliance concepts, IRS tax forms, and the preparation of Forms 1040 (Individual) and 1120 (Corporation).
- Core Skills: Strong numerical accuracy, excellent organizational habits, and the technical discipline to execute bookkeeping and tax filings under structured multi-tier review.
- Communication Capabilities: Solid written and verbal English communication skills to interact effectively with US onshore firm leaders and client service teams.
- Credentials:Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
