US Tax Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Tax return preparation
• 1099 year-end tax information reporting and tax planning
• General accounting for client business to be used in preparing income tax returns, including preparation of trial balances and related adjusting journal entries; preparing deposits and disbursement requests
• Assist with general administrative functions of the Tax Department
• Assist with other Corporate accounting projects as needed
• Assist with special projects, as necessary
• Stay current on the latest tax law changes

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any accounting related program
• At least 5 years of accounting and business tax preparation experience is required for this position
• CPA is ideal
• Experience in a BPO setting is an advantage
• Must have an excellent knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulation
• Must have an experience in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and Xero
• Must have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office or Excel
• Should have a strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a team player with strong reconciliation and analysis skill
• Must be willing to work on a US shift, Monday to Friday (9:00 PM to 5:00 AM MNL Time)
• Must have a fast and reliable internet connection for a temporary work from home arrangement
