JOB DESCRIPTION
The Systems Engineer position designs, manages, monitors, and supports multiple technology disciplines across multiple data networks within multiple data centers. Develops, installs, analyzes, evaluates and maintains all related systems infrastructure.
- Design, install, administer and support data center systems, equipment, and applications to achieve optimum performance.
- This include but are not limited to Microsoft Windows, SQL, IIS, Exchange, as well as VMware, AS/400, and Linux servers.
- Work with Powershell Scripts for automation and testing
- Rack and install HP & Dell server hardware in the Data Centers.
- Administer O365 Suite as well as Google Workspace Suite of products
- Monitor appropriate System Backups, SAN/NAS health, AV Alerts, environmental appliances
- Support Cloud Infrastructures Including but not limited to Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Provide technical consultation and assistance to users, helpdesk and other technical users.
- Review and evaluate technology solutions and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Troubleshooting of network systems to determine cause(s) of failure and resolve problems.
- Ability to design and integrate Data Security into all systems to ensure protection from inappropriate access and malware.
- Research and execute Special Projects as required.
- Develop and maintain technical system documentation.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering and/or Advanced Systems Administration.
- Information Security concepts.
- Systems Auditing concepts.
- Advanced knowledge of standard office equipment in a corporate environment.
- Microsoft networking products such as Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation, Exchange, SQL, and Terminal Services. SAN and NAS Products. Anti-virus and EDR software products.
- HP and Dell Server Hardware
- VMware proficiency
- Google Workspace knowledge
