CLIENT BACKGROUND

Our client is a U.S.-based accounting firm that serves service-focused businesses, including restaurants, bars, and medical practices. They're more than just number crunchers—they're trusted partners who value relationships, transparency, and reliability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a client portfolio of 35–40 accounts, providing full-charge bookkeeping services
  • Complete complex reconciliations and ensure clean, audit-ready records
  • Prepare and review financial statements with precision and clarity
  • Review and enter accounts payable transactions accurately and on time
  • Handle sales tax return preparation and filing across multiple jurisdictions
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying process improvements and delivering value-added insights
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date documentation and follow standardized workflows
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and recommending enhancements
  • Collaborate with internal team and communicate clearly and consistently with clients

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
  • At least 3 years of U.S.-based accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online (and some familiarity with Desktop)
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple client accounts
  • Experience in sales tax filing and accounts payable
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
  • At least 1 year of remote work experience
  • Familiarity with time tracking tools and client portals is a plus
