In this role, you will be part of a dedicated tax operations team responsible for keeping US payroll tax filings accurate, compliant, and on time. You will manage agency assignments, support quarter-end filing activities, and help resolve tax notices and discrepancies — playing a critical role in a compliance function that directly impacts thousands of US-based employers.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

• 2 to 4 years of experience in US payroll tax filing, payroll tax compliance, or tax production work
• Solid understanding of US payroll tax regulations and filing processes
• Experience supporting periodic and quarter-end payroll tax filing activities
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently

STRONG SIGNALS

• Hands-on experience with agency bulk payment balancing or filing package preparation
• Familiarity with TPA (Third Party Administrator) or POA (Power of Attorney) documentation in a payroll context
• Prior exposure to payroll or tax systems used in US-based operations

RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Tax Filing Operations Support

You own the day-to-day execution of US payroll tax filing tasks assigned to you, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all agency-level activities.

• Complete agency bulk payment balancing and case updates in line with Tax Operations direction
• Prepare filing packages and track filing confirmations across assigned tax agencies
• Support periodic and quarter-end filing activities, including documentation, sorting, and tracking

Compliance Monitoring and Escalation

You ensure that issues, rejections, and discrepancies are flagged and escalated promptly so that compliance obligations are never compromised.

• Identify and escalate filing rejections, missing TPA/POA items, and agency-level issues to internal Tax Operations owners
• Flag unusual discrepancies and document follow-up actions for resolution
• Maintain organized records to support audit trails and internal review processes

Tax Notice Research and Resolution Support

You support the team in investigating and resolving tax notices and filing discrepancies with accuracy and diligence.

• Assist in researching the root cause of tax notices and filing discrepancies
• Coordinate follow-up items and track resolution progress across assigned cases
• Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement of filing workflows
