WhatYou'll beDoing
Looking to make a difference ensuring proper performance of core payroll activities You will be responsible for payroll tax activities including analyzing tax data for accuracy and ensuring timely remittance and reporting/filing of tax obligations thru internal and 3rd party processes. This position will also be responsible for analysis of employee tax records, allocations of taxes for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and the alternate work location activities. The incumbent should be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to research complex tax issues and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

You'll report to Payroll Manager.

During a Typical Day,You'll

.Provide support to internal and external partners by analyzing and resolving complex agency inquiries and notices from federal, state, and local taxing.

.Responsible for timely analysis of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll tax returns and payment funding for federal, state, and local tax withholding, social security taxes and state unemployment taxes to ensure timely remittance and reduce tax compliance exposures and working with ADP Smart Compliance to resolve tax issues and exceptions.

.Assist with federal and state tax inquiries and audits

.Assist with other special projects as they arise

.Perform tax research on various topics including but not limited to US federal and state income tax, international tax, indirect tax, and payroll tax as needed.

What You Bring to the Role

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3 + year experience in payroll processing and accounting is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle software preferred but not required.
• Experience with ADP Smart Compliance preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, accounting and research skills
• Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Able to work independently and as a team player. Strong work ethic a must.
• Ability to manage time effectively, meeting deadlines consistently while working on multiple tasks without sacrificing quality of work.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• The ideal candidate will have experience with state and local tax.
