Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible providing advanced client-facing support for payroll processing and workforce management within the UKG Ready platform. This role ensures accurate payroll execution, compliance with US regulations, and timely resolution of complex payroll issues.

Job Description:

• Process payroll using UKG Ready, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US payroll regulations.

• Provide client-facing support for payroll issues via phone, email, and virtual meetings with clear and structured communication.

• Deliver technical and functional support on payroll and Time & Labor Management (TLM) within UKG Ready.

• Perform payroll reconciliations, including quarter-end and year-end processes.

• Maintain payroll production calendars and ensure all payroll runs are completed on schedule.

• Support compliance processes, including tax filings, withholding validation, and regulatory requirements.

• Provide guidance on US payroll concepts such as exemptions, tax treatments, and garnishments.

• Collaborate with HRIS, Tax, TLM, and implementation teams to ensure accurate system configuration and payroll integrity.

• Conduct client check-ins, gather requirements, and provide recommendations for issue resolution and process improvements.

• Deliver training and technical guidance to clients and internal teams.

• Maintain professional, concise, and solution-focused client communication.

• Support documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Perform additional payroll and client support duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of US payroll tax regulations, classifications, and compliance requirements.

• Demonstrates strong experience in payroll processing within a client-facing or HRIS environment.

• Shows the ability to provide clear, structured, and accurate responses to payroll-related inquiries.

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail in payroll calculations, tax setups, and reconciliations.

• Proven problem-solving skills in real-time payroll issue resolution.

• Shows the ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and competing deadlines.

• Demonstrates strong client relationship management and communication skills.

• Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.

Screening Criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

• Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on US payroll processing experience.

• Experience handling end-to-end payroll, including tax filings, year-end reporting, and payroll corrections.

• Must have stable employment history.
