We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an US Payroll Benefits Associate for our iiPay business, part of our award winning Global payroll division. Reporting to the Team Leader - International Payroll Operations, this full-time, permanent position can be based in the Philippines on remote working arrangement and offers Global coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact on our payroll business and its growth.
The US Payroll Benefits Associate serves as a key liaison between clients, benefit providers, and internal payroll teams to ensure the accurate administration of employee benefits within the payroll system. This role is responsible for supporting benefits-related system configuration, open enrollment activities, benefit integrations, payroll impacts, and client inquiries. The ideal candidate possesses strong payroll and benefits knowledge, excellent client service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration & Client Support
- Act as the primary client contact for benefits-related system questions and support requests.
- Provide guidance and support to clients on system utilization and best practices related to benefits administration.
- Partner with clients to resolve benefits-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of client benefit plans, enrollment processes, and payroll impacts.
Payroll & Benefits Collaboration
- Work closely with internal payroll teams to ensure benefit changes are accurately reflected in payroll processing.
- Support payroll teams by researching and resolving benefit-related inquiries that impact payroll calculations and results.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to streamline benefits administration processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with payroll and benefits requirements.
Open Enrollment Management
- Own and manage the annual Open Enrollment (OE) process within the payroll system.
- Configure new plan year benefit elections, rates, eligibility rules, and enrollment settings.
- Build and maintain client-specific employee enrollment portals and ensure readiness for open enrollment deadlines.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and client sign-off for open enrollment configurations.
- Provide client support throughout the open enrollment cycle.
Benefits Integrations & System Configuration
- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot benefit carrier integrations with various providers and third-party vendors.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams and external vendors to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support of benefit data feeds.
- Monitor integration performance and resolve data discrepancies or transmission issues.
- Support system configuration updates related to benefit plans, eligibility, deductions, and reporting requirements.
Compliance, Audits & Reporting
- Support internal audits and quality assurance reviews related to benefits administration and payroll processing.
- Assist in identifying and correcting benefit-related data discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of benefit configurations, processes, and integration requirements.
- Support compliance efforts by ensuring benefit data is maintained accurately within the payroll system.
Key Requirements:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, or related payroll services environment.
- Strong understanding of US employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and pre-tax benefit programs.
- Experience supporting payroll processes and understanding the impact of benefits on payroll calculations.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with payroll, HRIS, and benefits administration systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a client-focused environment.
Preferred
- Experience utilizing iSolved HCM for benefits administration and benefits-related system management.
- Experience with payroll implementation or benefits system configuration.
- Experience managing benefit carrier integrations and file feeds.
- Knowledge of open enrollment administration and benefits compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Experience working with third-party benefits vendors and payroll providers.
