Role Description

US Mortgage Closer / Closing Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating U.S. mortgage loan closing transactions, including purchase, refinance, and home equity loans. This role ensures the accuracy and completeness of closing documentation, facilitates communication among all parties involved in the transaction, and supports a smooth and timely funding process while minimizing risk and preventing financial losses.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Working on Origination purchase, refinance, and home equity loan closing transactions.
  • Checking the data accuracy in the documents (HOI, Tax, Vesting, Title, Payoff, etc) required for closing of the loan. Request any corrections as needed, from the lender.
  • Validating payoffs documents, taxes, HOI, recording fees and title fees to ensure no losses are incurred.
  • Coordinate loan closing time/date/place with schedulers, lender, notary, etc.
  • Prepare and/or review title company documents for accuracy.
  • Combine title company documents and lender documents to provide final signing package to notary or attorney.
  • Confirm successful signing with notary or attorney.
  • Work with borrower, notary, and lender, as applicable to have any corrections resolved timely.
  • Sending funding documentation to lender for final funding approval
  • Ensure file is balanced before funding

 

Qualification & Experience

  • Prior experience in US title insurance or mortgage closings.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and conducting Internet research.
  • Understanding of US title insurance and mortgage terminology.
  • Ability to provide excellent Customer Service to clients, borrowers, lenders and various industry vendors.
  • 1-2 years of working experience in US title insurance or mortgage industry.
