US Junior Accountant

Location: Clark & Cebu, Philippines
Work Arrangement: Onsite, Full-time
Shift: Monday - Friday | 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM PHT
Salary Range: Php 45,000 - Php 55,000

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive US Junior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of full-cycle bookkeeping, transactional processing, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules for US-based public accounting clients. You will work collaboratively with international firm leaders to maintain accurate general ledgers, resolve ledger discrepancies, and deliver reliable public practice support.

Your Impact

  • General Ledger & Daily Accounting: Perform day-to-day US accounting procedures, including transaction categorization, ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end journal entries.

  • Account Reconciliations: Execute routine bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations, verifying ledger entries against supporting source documentation to ensure complete data integrity.

  • Tax & Audit Support: Assist with workpaper compilation, trial balance adjustments, and basic tax/audit schedule preparations under public accounting firm standards.

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Identify ledger discrepancies, investigate out-of-balance items, and apply strong analytical skills to streamline accounting workflows.

  • Collaborative Team Communication: Maintain clear, proactive communication with onshore teams and managers to clarify technical queries, report engagement statuses, and ensure continuous workflow momentum.

What You Bring

  • The Experience:At least 2 years of experience in Tax, Accounting, and/or Audit within a public accounting firm environment (a core requirement for this role).

  • Credentials & Degrees:Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.

  • Software Competency: Proficiency with cloud accounting software, with hands-on experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Xero strongly preferred.

  • Mindset & Ownership: High level of initiative, self-motivation, strong detail orientation, and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to articulate complex technical matters and ask for support when needed.
