Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researches, analyzes, and provides weekly timecards and employee absences related to leaves.
  • Monitors and assists with data uploads and exception reports from leave, disability and workers compensation vendors into the HRIS and timekeeping systems.
  • Assists with completing vendor, internal teams, and agency inquiries to determine timelines, verification of information and data, and absence dates for protected and unprotected time.
  • Provides accurate details to managers, employees and Employee Relations on attendance reviews.
  • Creates and maintains monthly absence dashboards to report on leave and incidental absence utilization.
  • Analyzes absence trends and works closely with managers, supervisors and human resources to troubleshoot employee timecard and leave coding issues.

  • Analyzes absence trends and works closely with managers, supervisors and human resources to troubleshoot employee timecard and leave coding issues.
  • Identifies timecard coding opportunities and uses best practices methods including but not limited to: high-level systems, diagrams, requirement traceability matrices, user stories, functional specification documents, data maps, test cases, workflow diagrams, system interface and user report requirements. Effectively communicates to non-technical communities.
  • Analyzes gaps and proposes leave time keeping and coding modifications.
  • Participates in the administration and resolution of submitted employee leave timekeeping questions and/or requests via customer service ticketing systems.
  • Advises employees on hours worked for leave and disability eligibility.
  • Creates and develops timecard test case scenarios, plans and scripts; performs functional QA testing; and facilitates user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Reports any discrepancies, unusual or questionable time entries to proper supervisors, Human Resources, and Disability management consultants.
  • Maintains detailed and accurate case management notes, records and documents.
  • Provides support and guidance to Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) relative to attendance, protected time, and performance management, as needed.
  • Participates as a subject matter expert in Integrated Disability Absence Management projects.
  • Enters and reviews time and leave information in Timekeeping System in a timely manner, confirming accuracy of time entries according to work schedule in order to ensure employees paychecks and leave balances are accurately processed.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality of all employee protected health information (PHI) and protects all PHI from accidental, intentional, or inappropriate disclosure.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with business users, HRBPs, and HR COE teams.
  • Maintains knowledge of organization-wide benefit plan designs and policies for Health & Wellbeing to successfully assist HR Teams.
  • Knowledge of California leave, disability, paid sick leave, and workers compensation laws governing pay and wage replacement while on leave.
  • Builds trusted vendor relationships and ensures vendor is compliant with service agreements and deliverables governing time data and wage integration. Acts to resolve variances and issues with vendor and internal partners.
  • Participates in change management activities associated with leave, accommodation, workers compensation, and return to work process improvement. Engages manager to obtain support and buy-in for changes.
  • Performs case management activity to maintain department workflow, critical delivery and compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for their understanding and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in Human Resources to include leave, disability, and benefits reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience managing privileged and confidential information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) at an intermediate level.
  • Experience in payroll administration/practices and knowledge of California leave, disability, paid sick leave, and payroll laws and regulations.
  • Must be willing to work in a fixed night shift schedule (US Hours) and during PH holidays.
  • Must be amenable to work in Alabang, Muntinlupa when work in the office resumes
