Job Summary

The Credit and Collections Specialist is responsible for following up on outstanding debts to ensure the organization minimizes losses and maintains timely collections. The role manages inbound and outbound calls, negotiates payment arrangements, investigates customer issues, and ensures accurate account updates while delivering professional customer communication.

Identify and collect overdue accounts to minimize outstanding receivables

Handle and schedule recovery processes for lease equipment when required

Conduct inbound and outbound calls, including written correspondence

Research and resolve customer inquiries and account discrepancies

Negotiate payment arrangements, credits, and settlement solutions

Document all actions, comments, and payment commitments

Perform skip tracing to locate customers or updated contact information

Provide accurate and timely account updates

Maintain knowledge of company policies, procedures, and functional areas

Provide feedback on recurring issues and recommend process improvements

Perform other assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications

Experience using JD Edwards ERP system.

Experience in Microsoft Office systems.

Has background in federal, state, and local regulations related to collections.

Read and interpret business communications, procedures, and reports.

Perform accurate reconciliations, verify totals, and identify discrepancies across reports or ledgers.

Work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Demonstrates strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Present information effectively in one-on-one or small group settings.

Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.

Screening Criteria

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

Minimum of three (3) years collections or customer service experience.

Must have stable employment history.

Desired Qualifications

Customer service or call center collections experience is a plus.

Experience handling high-volume collections environments is an advantage.

Experience using Salesforce is a plus.

Additional Information

  • Night Shift - 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Onsite
  • 25 % night diffirential
