As an Immigration Specialist you will play a crucial role in guiding our international nurse candidates through the complex U.S. immigration process. You will be the primary point of contact for nurses, providing expert advice, managing documentation, and ensuring timely progression through various visa stages and relocation. Your expertise will directly impact the lives of countless nurses, helping them secure their professional future in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visa Process Management: Expertly manage the end-to-end U.S. visa application process for nurse candidates, with a strong focus on EB3, H1B, and/or TN visas.
- Candidate Support: Serve as the main point of contact for nurses, providing clear and accurate guidance on visa requirements, documentation, and timelines.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all necessary immigration documents are collected, organized, and accurately submitted in compliance with USCIS regulations and agency policies.
- Liaison & Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, legal counsel, and external partners to expedite the visa process and relocation and resolve any challenges.
- Updates & Reporting: Keep detailed records in our CRM system (Salesforce), share regular updates on candidate progress with management and the right people.
- Communication: Use various platforms (Microsoft Teams, Slack, Outlook, social media) to communicate effectively with candidates and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks in the immigration process, seeking effective solutions to ensure candidate success.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest immigration policies and procedures relevant to healthcare professionals seeking to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a similar role within a healthcare staffing agency or recruitment firm that facilitates the immigration of nurses to the United States.
- Visa Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the U.S. visa process, specifically for EB3, H1B, and/or TN categories.
- Communication Tools: Extensive experience with Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Outlook for internal and external communication.
- Social Media Acumen: Familiarity with professional social media platforms for outreach and engagement.
- Language: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized, meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a compassionate approach to candidate support.
