CLIENT BACKGROUND
Our client is a Utah-based bookkeeping firm providing trusted financial solutions for small businesses. They help business owners focus on growth by managing day-to-day financial tasks and relieving the burden of bookkeeping. They ensure receipts, invoices, and accounts are organized, reconciliations are accurate, and taxes are handled properly. Their services include weekly bookkeeping, monthly account reconciliations and financial reports, quarterly tax filings, and annual business performance reporting. They also support payroll for contractors, manage accounts payable and receivable, and provide customizable performance reports. Their mission is to deliver proactive, reliable financial support so clients can run and grow their businesses with confidence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including daily transaction review, journal entries, and categorization
- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and monthly reports using QuickBooks Online
- Assist with 1099 preparation and filing for applicable clients
- Support contractor payment processing for select clients
- Communicate directly with clients via Financial Cents for transaction clarifications
- Escalate unclear items proactively and ask questions when guidance is needed
- Coordinate with the firm owner to streamline bookkeeping processes and improve efficiency
- Handle other assigned tasks to support workflow and client satisfaction
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 13 years of U.S. bookkeeping experience in a U.S. firm, supporting short-term rental clients (required) or in the real estate industry (considered)
- Experience with end-to-end bookkeeping processes, including reconciliations and financial report preparation
- QuickBooks Online experience is required; QuickBooks Online Certification Level 1 is required, Level 2 preferred
- Familiarity or background in Property Management Platforms such as Hostfully, Hostaway, and Guesty, and Trust Accounting / Integration Tools such as Clearing and Tally Breeze is a bonus, but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clear and proactive communication with the firm owner
