US ACCOUNTING TAX MANAGER (Remote)
Location: Clark
Shift: Mondays to Fridays, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Arrangement: Remote, Full Time

Role Purpose/Job Summary
Lead and grow a team of tax return preparers of US High Net Worth Individuals that have expatriate tax considerations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct client liaison for compliance discussions.
• Review complex tax returns for High-Net-Worth individuals with US and Australian tax connections to a high standard ready for partner or director sign-off.
• Experience in preparation/processing of foreign informational filings for foreign companies, foreign trusts and passive investment funds.
• Work with partners and directors to manage staff performance, development, and overall team productivity.
• Co-ordinate and manage end to end tax compliance processes, including workflow, data collection from taxpayers, application for extensions and delivery of tax returns.
• Draft and send client correspondence with minimal review required.

Qualifications / Skills:

• At least 3-5 years experience doing US expat tax return preparation/review. US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent designation strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of US expat tax concepts, including foreign informational filings.
• Ability to review tax returns to a high standard.
• Ability to research complex US tax issues that arise on tax returns prepared.
• Strong leadership, delegation, and people management skills, including mentoring and training junior staff.
• Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management
• Proficient with US tax return preparation software, with CCH experience preferred.
• Can work independently and self-motivated.

Progression Criteria:

• Reviews less complex returns to sign-off standard
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to firm growth
