About the Role

We are seeking a high-caliber, proactive Accounting Manager (Private Equity and Real Estate) to serve as a central pillar of financial operations for our high-end institutional investment clients. In this role, you aren't just managing books; you are an Engagement Manager who acts as an extension of the client's U.S. team.

You will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure precision in financial reporting, and manage complex investment structures. Unlike traditional roles, this position requires the confidence to manage the client relationship, provide strategic pushback when necessary, and utilize critical thinking to solve problems beyond standard processes

Work hours: Monday to Friday, U.S. Business Hours (Pacific Time)

Work set-up: Remote

Holiday Observance: Philippine Holidays

What you'll do

  • Client & Engagement Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level clients (CFOs and Investors); proactively manage expectations, deliverables, and timeline.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and hold a team of senior and junior accountants accountable in a remote environment.
  • Complex Financial Reporting: Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including consolidations and financial statements on both cash and accrual bases.
  • Investment Oversight: Calculate investment waterfalls and manage investor reporting for private equity real estate funds.
  • Compliance & Precision: Ensure strict adherence to U.S. GAAP and maintain sensitivities around FINRA regulatory requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and update detailed SOPs, ensuring that institutional knowledge is retained and processes are streamlined.
  • External Coordination: Interface with external parties, including banks, auditors, and tax professionals.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong preference for experience in Private Equity, Real Estate Investment, or Hedge Funds.
  • Big 4 experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience working directly for U.S.-based companies, with a strong grasp of U.S. corporate culture and promptness.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of the U.S. GAAP and accounting systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar.
  • Critical Thinking: Exceptional resourcefulness and the ability to analyze complex financial structures without constant supervision.
  • Communication Excellence: Professional presence with the confidence to manage up to U.S.-based stakeholders
  • Nice to Have: CPA designation or being on the CPA track.
