What You'll Do
- Manage full-cycle accounting for U.S. clients: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close
- Prepare timely financial statements (Balance Sheets, P&L, Cash Flow) with variance analysis and actionable insights
- Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn and runway for SMB clients
- Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Run payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with approvals and deductions
- Standardize checklists, SOPs, and close calendars; identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
- Collaborate with U.S.-based teammates and clients: join calls, translate financials into plain English, and flag risks/opportunities
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and organized, clean records
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of U.S. accounting/bookkeeping experience (public practice or industry)
- QuickBooks Online proficiency (required); experience with Xero, Bill.com, G-Suite/Excel is a plus
- Experienced CPA or non-CPA — both welcome
- Strong English communication skills (written & spoken) and client-facing experience
- Ownership mentality: organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple clients without sacrificing accuracy
- Comfortable working U.S. business hours (night shift PH-based)
Nice to Have:
- Tech-curious and automation-minded (workflow rules, integrations, reporting tools)
- Experience with diverse U.S. industries or multi-entity accounting

Contract Status & Exclusivity
This is an independent contractor role based in the Philippines. Full-time exclusivity is required. Candidates must not hold other part-time or freelance engagements once hired. Conflict-of-interest checks may apply.
