Operating under the guidance of the Segment Finance Director, the US Accountant plays a pivotal role in facilitating the month-end closing and consolidation cycles. This position acts as a cross-functional collaborator, working closely with the broader accounting team, Segment Controllership, and key departments such as Treasury, Legal, and HR to ensure financial accuracy across the organization.
This role manages a diverse portfolio of accounting functions, specifically focusing on:
Global Consolidations & Intercompany: Overseeing the end-to-end consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, system mapping, and Hyperion data management.
Treasury Operations: Managing the accounting for debt, interest, dividends, cash reconciliations, and hedging activities.
Regional Ledger Management: Coordinating shared accounting activities for business units located in the US and Mexico.
Closing Excellence: Execute monthly closing procedures for cash, fixed assets, leases, accruals, and equity.
Reporting & Analytics: Generate precise journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and provide insightful financial statement analysis.
Process Optimization: Leverage technology and standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and shorten the monthly close cycle.
Internal Controls: Maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls to ensure full compliance with corporate policies and statutory regulations.
Compliance & Audit: Offer technical support for SEC reporting (including roll-forwards) and serve as a point of contact for external auditors during annual and quarterly reviews.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
Experience: At least 2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within a large, multinational manufacturing firm or a US public company.
Technical Skills: Deep practical knowledge ofUS GAAP. Proficiency in Oracle/SAP, and advanced experience with Hyperion or OneStream is a significant advantage.
