Responsibilities:
- Partner with HR and plant management to identify workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies across all levels, from direct labour to professional roles.
- Leverage data to forecast hiring needs, identify staffing gaps, and manage relationships with staffing agencies.
- Source talent through diverse channels including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and recruitment fairs.
- Build talent pipelines and establish partnerships with local technical schools, trade associations, and job centres.
- Review applications and conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidates qualifications, technical skills, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate technical assessments and pre-employment testing as required
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide regular recruitment updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
- Represent the company at job fairs and networking events to attract top talent.
- Support employer branding initiatives by promoting company culture, benefits, and growth opportunities.
- Work with HR to ensure a seamless onboarding process including pre-employment checks, offer administration, and new hire orientation.
- Track key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality.
- Continuously refine recruitment strategies and stay current on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field
- 5 years of experience in high-volume recruitment, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Resourceful in sourcing candidates using a variety of methods (job boards, social media, recruitment fairs, and networking).
- Adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, responding quickly to changing labor demands or company priorities.
- Proactive mindset in seeking innovative ways to attract talent and improve recruitment processes.
- Team player who can collaborate effectively with HR colleagues and hiring managers across departments.
