Position Summary
Bancroft seeks an Upper School Academic Support Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Ideal candidates work effectively in a culture of innovation, student choice, and collaboration with colleagues across the division. This position will work closely with our teaching teams. Building upon Bancroft's commitment to nurture, respect, and educate diverse learners, this position is designed specifically to support high-achieving students with diagnosed language-based learning differences and executive functioning challenges.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and intervention to students in executive functioning, reading, written language, and foundational math skills
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other faculty, professionals, and service providers in planning instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Comprehensive knowledge of reading and language-based disabilities and evidenced-based interventions for supporting students with varying reading and language-based disabilities
- Knowledge of specialized instructional techniques for supporting executive functioning, written expression, and other academic skills
- Provide and support formal and informal assessment and data analysis for progress monitoring and reporting purposes
Essential Skills And Experience
- Degree in Special Education, Reading Specialist, or a related field
- Three or more years of experience working in a similar position
- Orton-Gillingham or Wilson certification preferred

Compensation & Benefits
Bancroft School offers a competitive salary range for this position of $42,000 to $68,000 determined by the scope of responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational considerations. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, expertise, and internal equity. Final salary details, along with a comprehensive benefits package, will be provided upon an employment offer.
