Key Responsibilities
- Perform Gross Credit Loss and Recoveries forecasting across all Consumer Unsecured products, directly impacting the Cost of Credit (CoC) and the Bank's P&L.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to set Budget targets for Cost of Credit, considering growth initiatives, portfolio performance, and macroeconomic conditions.
- Lead in-depth discussions with cross-functional teams to identify and implement strategies that mitigate risk to Cost of Credit.
- Consult with the Chief Risk Officer and Oversight Team on changes to collections policies based on customer needs and market practices.
- Coordinate with the Collections Leadership Team to improve portfolio performance through segmentation and strategic initiatives.
- Lead the development, review, monitoring, and renewal of risk mitigation programs to assist customers with financial indebtedness.
- Implement analytic tools (e.g., FICO strategies, new scorecards) to minimize risk and optimize collection resources for managing workable inventory.
- Regularly review and recalibrate Collections Segmentations to ensure effectiveness in determining account risk levels and applying appropriate treatments.
- Review Collections strategy calendars and agency management to ensure treatments align with account risk levels and behaviors.
- Provide feedback to business units on portfolio opportunities and risks by monitoring Collections strategies and risk mitigation program performance.
- Ensure modifications to analytic tools are incorporated into system changes required for new strategy implementation.
- Mentor senior analysts for leadership roles within Collections Risk Policy and Bureau Management.
- Evaluate risks associated with new bureau tools and data for acquisition policy, portfolio management, and collections. Develop, test, optimize, and implement credit/valuation policies while fostering cross-functional partnerships.
- Engage and negotiate with credit bureaus (e.g., TransUnion, CIC) and third-party data providers to secure optimal pricing and expanded use of bureau data (verification, skip tracing, alerts, credit/fraud scores). Monitor and track bureau usage against plan.
- Lead the management of system requirements and support for implementing new bureau tools and integrating them with policy and initiatives.
