Role Description The Unit Manager role at Manulife Philippines is a full-time hybrid position based in all Branches of Manulife Philippines, with a mix of office-based and work-from-home arrangements. The Unit Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of financial advisors to meet sales, service, and compliance targets. This role involves setting clear goals, monitoring performance metrics, and providing regular feedback and training to drive strong customer and business outcomes. Day-to-day activities include planning and executing sales strategies, overseeing client portfolio management, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company standards, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to support operations and resolve issues. The Unit Manager also participates in recruitment and onboarding of new team members, fosters a positive and inclusive team culture, and promotes Manulife's products and services in alignment with company values.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, including team coaching, performance management, and mentoring.
  • Experience in sales and business development within financial services, insurance, banking, or related industries.
  • Solid understanding of financial products, insurance solutions, and basic investment or retirement planning concepts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and team members.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, track KPIs, and make informed decisions to achieve unit targets.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to regulatory compliance and ethical business practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating strong organization, time management, and self-motivation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience in financial services may be considered.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred; experience in agency or distribution management is an advantage.
  • Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems, and openness
