Unit Head (General Ledger Systems)

This role sits within the Core Business Delivery department, a crucial part of their IT group responsible for delivering systems related to core banking, remittance, insurance, private banking, card, and ATMs. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the management, integrity, and oversight of the General Ledger system, ensuring seamless integration with other banking systems.

What you'll do:

As the Unit Head for General Ledger Systems, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity and performance of our client's financial operations.

• Take full accountability and ownership of the bank's general ledger systems
• Lead system integration projects to enhance interoperability between the GL and other banking systems
• Manage a team of IT systems analysts, business analysts, project managers and solution architects
• Work closely with software vendors to drive alignment between their outcomes and program objectives
• Facilitate training and change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of the GL software by users
• Optimize resource allocation across teams, manage vendor relationships and provide support for issues resolution and risk management during execution
• Conduct performance reviews for delivery managers, architects, and team leads
