The Role
As an
Underwriting Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative activities of the unit. This includes reviewing credit verification reports, income documents and underwriting recommendations. The role ensures the delivery of sound credit decisions for all loan applications within the agreed turnaround time.
How You'll Contribute
- Monitor the daily productivity of assigned underwriter/s for supervision.
- Prepare regular reports on team performance, CAR, TAT and deviation threshold compliance.
- Performs other duties and functions that may be assigned by the Unit Head or Department Head as needed.
- Provide sound recommendations and/or credit decisions on business loans products.
- Train, mentor, motivate and discipline subordinates to improve, develop and retain high potential and high-performing employees.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and recommends amendments or enhancements, as necessary.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Business Management, Finance, Accountancy, Marketing, or any related course.
- Knowledge in Credit and Underwriting process
- Managerial Skills Financial Analysis Oral & Written Communication MS Office Application Knowledge
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills
