We're looking for an Underwriting Operations Manager who will lead the end-to-end credit assessment and approval process for corporate and commercial lending. If you enjoy balancing risk, operational efficiency, and business growth, this role is for you.
What You Will Do
- Lead underwriting for corporate loan applications, renewals, and amendments within your authority.
- Ensure credit decisions follow internal policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and develop a team of underwriters; provide guidance on complex credit cases.
- Work closely with Business Units, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Collections on deal structuring and exception handling.
- Monitor portfolio quality, turnaround time, and process performance; drive improvements in systems and workflows.
- Support the Credit Operations Head in achieving underwriting and portfolio objectives.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in corporate credit underwriting or credit risk management.
- Strong skills in financial analysis, cash flow evaluation, and industry risk assessment.
- Familiarity with BSP regulations, credit governance, and corporate lending frameworks.
- Experience leading or mentoring underwriters or analysts.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
