The Role
As an Underwriter, you are responsible for evaluating current credit data/information of borrowers to determine their eligibility/ qualification according to set standards or credit parameters and the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. You are also responsible to recommends for approval or approving qualified loan applications.
How you'll contribute
- Adheres to the bank policies/procedures/standards, the bank's organizational thrusts, and top management's/ExCom/BOD directives in performing assigned tasks.
- Executes the Credit Policy Manual / guidelines based on assigned loan product
- Review credit profile and related information of borrowers, recommends or issue credit approvals, identify credit risk, and establish mitigants of assigned loan products.
- Perform underwriting and loan approvals based on approved credit authority.
- Assist Team Leader on credit items, non-credit related items/special assignments as the need arises.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Business Management, Accountancy, Marketing, or any related course.
- At least two (2) years experience in cycle of Consumer Lending
- With underwriting skills and analytical skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Can perform tasks with less supervision
