Position Overview

Industry Platforms & Systems Integration (IP&SI) is KPMG's trusted delivery practice - bringing together platform expertise, systems integration, modern data foundations, and security-by-design to help clients deliver change faster, with confidence. We connect trusted data, modernise core platforms, and uplift capability to reduce cost and risk while enabling resilient, artificial intelligence (AI)-ready operations.

The UKG (Kronos) Workforce Management Expert / Consultant is responsible for the design, implementation, integration, optimisation, and ongoing support of UKG Workforce Management solutions within large and complex enterprise environments. The role focuses on enabling accurate timekeeping, workforce scheduling, labour compliance, and payroll integrations, while ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, sustainable, and supportable.

This position operates as a senior functional and technical specialist, partnering closely with HR, Payroll, Operations, IT, and Integration teams to ensure UKG solutions align with business processes, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

UKG Solution Design & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of UKG solutions including UKG Dimensions and UKG Workforce Central / Pro / Ready (as applicable).

  • Support complex workforce models (e.g., unionised environments, multi-shift and 24×7 operations, multi-country or multi-region organisations).
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with labour legislation and enterprise policies.

Integration & Data Management

  • Design and deliver integrations between UKG and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, ADP, Workday, Oracle), HRIS/ERP platforms, and reporting/finance systems.
  • Deliver inbound and outbound integrations using UKG APIs and web services, and file-based interfaces (including SFTP) where needed.
  • Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and auditability.

Security, Access & Controls

  • Configure UKG security profiles, roles, and access permissions.
  • Ensure segregation of duties and data privacy controls.
  • Collaborate with identity teams to integrate UKG with enterprise IAM platforms.
  • Support audits and access reviews related to workforce data.

Testing, Deployment & Support

  • Lead system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Drive go-live readiness, cutover planning, and post go-live stabilization.
  • Provide Level 3 support and root-cause analysis for complex incidents.
  • Develop operational support documentation and runbooks.

Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR, Payroll, Workforce Operations, and IT leaders.
  • Recommend best practices and process improvements using UKG capabilities.
  • Mentor junior consultants and client teams.
  • Contribute to UKG delivery standards, accelerators, and best practices.

  • Strong understanding of timekeeping, scheduling, and pay rule configuration; workforce compliance and labour regulations; and payroll and HR system integrations.
  • Experience working with enterprise HR and payroll landscapes.

Experience (Role Level Determination)

  • 6–8 years of overall IT / HR systems experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience delivering UKG (Kronos) Workforce Management solutions.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale or multi-country UKG implementations.
  • Strong exposure to payroll integrations and complex workforce environments.
