Job Description

Location: Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales or Legazpi City, Albay

Work Setup: Onsite

Work Schedule: 4-Day Work Week, 12:00 PM to 10 PM PH time (during UK DST) or 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM PH time

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant with at least three years of experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage end-to-end accounting processes with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including statutory deductions, pensions, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly management reports, including financial analysis, KPIs, variance, and cash flow reporting
  • Lead year-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, corporation tax, and self-assessment returns
  • Prepare and review tax filings and liaise with relevant regulatory bodies when required
  • Identify process improvements and ensure data accuracy across all financial systems

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and payroll processes
  • Proficiency in accounting and payroll software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Dext, BrightPay, or similar platforms
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Experience in handling multiple clients or multi-entity accounts
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to provide actionable financial insights
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
