Role: UI/UX Designer

Work Arrangement: Work from Home

Location: Philippines - Any CS Branch (Makati, Ortigas, Pampanga, Tarlac, Cebu, Davao)

Schedule: Morning shift

Job description:

User Research & Testing:

  • Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, and usability testing) to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Analyze data from user feedback and testing to identify design opportunities and refine existing designs.
  • Develop personas, user journeys, and task flows to guide the design process.

Wireframing & Prototyping:

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to demonstrate the flow and functionality of digital products.
  • Use design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) to craft user interfaces that are both visually appealing and functional.
  • Design and prototype both high-fidelity and low-fidelity screens for web, mobile, and tablet interfaces.

UI Design:

  • Design visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces that align with brand guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain UI kits, design systems, and component libraries to ensure consistency across all projects.
  • Ensure designs are responsive and optimize user experiences for different devices and screen sizes.

UX Strategy & Optimization:

  • Collaborate with product teams to define the overall user experience strategy and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Implement best practices in UX design, such as accessibility, usability, and information architecture.
  • Optimize existing designs based on user feedback and usability testing to improve functionality and overall experience.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with developers to ensure the design vision is translated into functional interfaces.
  • Present design concepts, user research findings, and prototypes to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Act as the bridge between the development and product teams, ensuring design consistency and quality across all stages of product development.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines and priorities effectively.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Document design processes, decisions, and iterations to maintain clarity and alignment throughout the design cycle

Qualification and requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, human-computer interaction, and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to create responsive designs that work across multiple devices and platforms (mobile, desktop, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of design systems, UI kits, and design libraries.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Trello, etc.).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills to present design concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple tasks.
  • Adaptability and openness to constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a design system or building one from scratch.
  • Experience with motion design or animation (e.g., using tools like After Effects).
  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or experience working closely with developers.
  • Experience with A/B testing or data-driven design.
  • Familiarity with prototyping tools such as Proto.io, Marvel App, or similar

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience (X+ years) as a UI/UX Designer, Interaction Designer, or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile application designs.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and synthesizing findings to inform design decisions.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
  • Experience in creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and UI components.
  • o Familiarity with HTML/CSS and front-end technologies to understand design feasibility (strong technical knowledge is not necessary, but beneficial).
