Job Description

The UI/UX Lead Designer drives the endtoend user experience for SMDC's digital products, leading a design team and ensuring timely delivery of usercentered solutions for both customerfacing and internal platforms. The role requires strong leadership, advanced Figma skills, and a proven ability to create intuitive, scalable interfaces. Experience with OutSystems and JIRA is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. HandsOn Design Execution

  • Create wireframes, highfidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and presentation materials using Figma.
  • Translate business requirements into intuitive UI/UX designs and validate them through testing and feedback loops.
  • Develop walkthroughs and demo prototypes; familiarity with OutSystems for smoother implementation is a plus.

2. Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and support the growth of a team of UI/UX designers while setting goals and ensuring highquality outputs.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative design culture that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

3. Design Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and uphold UI/UX standards, principles, and vision.
  • Ensure digital experiences are userfocused, scalable, consistent, and onbrand.

4. Product & Project Collaboration

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, digital teams, and developers on requirements and design recommendations to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure all designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with technical constraints.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Use analytics, feedback, and user behavior data to optimize experiences.
  • Track design trends and emerging technologies to inform improvements.
  • Contribute to targets such as increased adoption, ontime delivery, fewer usability issues, improved satisfaction scores, and stronger team performance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  1. Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia Arts, Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Experience:

  1. 610 years of UI/UX experience, including 35 years in a leadership or management role.
  2. Strong background in designing customer-facing digital products such as apps, websites, portals, and ecommerce platforms.
  3. Experience in real estate, ecommerce, or largescale digital transformation is a plus.

Technical Skills

  1. Advanced Figma skills, strong UX fundamentals (research, testing, journey mapping), and experience designing responsive web and mobile interfaces.
  2. Working knowledge of frontend concepts (HTML/CSS) to ensure design feasibility; familiarity with OutSystems and JIRA is an advantage.
  3. Ability to create demo videos, prototype walkthroughs, and launch presentations using video/animation tools.
