The UAT Manager owns the end‑to‑end business acceptance of change. This role ensures that new systems, products, and process enhancements are tested, validated, and ready for real‑world use before they go live. The UAT Manager brings structure, clarity, and confidence to releases—working closely with business, product, technology, and control teams to deliver quality outcomes that meet business goals, regulatory expectations, and customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the bank‑wide UAT strategy, standards, and ways of working.
  • Establish clear UAT governance, including entry/exit criteria and sign‑off processes.
  • Align UAT practices with Agile and iterative delivery models.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee UAT activities across multiple initiatives and releases.
  • Review and validate UAT plans, scenarios, scripts, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure test environments, data, and resources are ready and fit for purpose.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and timelines to keep releases on track.
  • Act as the main bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams during UAT.
  • Facilitate requirement walkthroughs to ensure clarity, testability, and alignment.
  • Lead UAT go/no‑go discussions and formal sign‑off sessions.
  • Oversee defect triage, prioritization, tracking, and resolution with QA and engineering teams.
  • Ensure critical issues are resolved before release, with risks clearly documented and accepted when needed.
  • Embed a strong quality mindset focused on customer impact and business value.
  • Lead, coach, and support UAT analysts and business testers.
  • Allocate resources effectively and manage team capacity across initiatives.
  • Continuously improve UAT processes, tools, templates, and reporting.
  • Provide clear UAT status updates, dashboards, metrics, and sign‑off documentation for leadership.
  • Ensure UAT practices meet internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory expectations.

Experience & Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in UAT, business testing, or quality assurance, with 2–3 years in a lead or managerial role.
  • Experience in digital banking, fintech, or regulated financial services environments.
  • Hands‑on delivery experience within Agile or hybrid models.
  • Testing or quality certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a strong advantage.
  • Strong grasp of UAT frameworks, governance models, and defect lifecycles.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, testable outcomes.
  • Confidence working with test management and tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Solid understanding of end‑to‑end banking journeys (onboarding, payments, lending, deposits).
  • Working knowledge of mobile and web applications; exposure to SQL or API testing is a plus.
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder and facilitation skills.
  • Decisive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Customer‑centric, quality‑driven, and compliance‑aware.
