Turbine Support Engineer

Qualifications:

a. Must be a licensed mechanical engineer with 5-year minimum experience in steam turbine inspection and overhauling,  or mechanical supervisor with 10-year minimum experience in steam turbine inspection and overhauling. Experience in generator mechanical and electrical works is an advantage but not required. 

b. Must be familiar with turbine and generator components, work methodology, procedures and inspection related to  turbine and generator overhauling activities. 

c. Must be capable in using precision measuring tools such as but not limited to inside/outside micrometer, vernier  caliper, feeler gauge, dial gauge, etc. 

d. Must have good communication and reporting skills preferably using English language.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

a. Direct reporting to Turbine Section Head and Turbine Engineers on duty. 

b. Supervision of 3rd party contractor during work execution of turbine and generator overhauling activities. Ensure  target daily activities were executed according to the plan and schedule. 

c. Quality assurance and quality control ensuring work procedures were followed and measurement data were properly transferred to the registered check sheets. 

d. All major concerns shall be reported immediately to the Turbine Section Head or Turbine Engineer on duty. 

e. Coordination between 3rd party contractors and department sections regarding work assistance requirements  and inspection hold points required in the ITP. 

f. Ensure safety practices were maintained and followed throughout the daily activities. 

g. Attend daily progress meeting every work shift.

h. Regular update on communication group for activity progress and concerns related to overhauling activities.
