Philippine Business Bank - Trust and Investment Group (PBB-TIG) is looking to fill the role of Trust Operations and Accounting Head
Role Description: The Trust Operations and Accounting Head is a FULL-TIME, ON-SITE role based in MAKATI. This role is responsible for the planning, organizing, controlling the activities of the Operations and Accounting Center (OAC). OAC is responsible for the immediate and efficient delivery of operational support and services to the Sales and Account Management Center (SAMC), Investment & Portfolio Management Center (PCMU) and Governance and Support Services Center in achieving the overall efficiency and profitability of the Trust and Investment Group (TIG).
Services include processing of transactions of marketing units, Trust CASA account opening, settlement of
transactions and maintenance of financial data and records, account documents and folders custodian, cashiering in accordance with the bank's policies and guidelines.
Work Experience:
- At least 5 to 8 years of progressively responsible experience in banking or financial services, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role specifically within Trust Operations, Trust Accounting, or Fiduciary Services.
Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree: Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Legal Management, or a related discipline
- Fiduciary Knowledge: In-depth understanding of trust laws, general banking laws, trust agreements, investment management accounts (IMAs), and unit investment trust funds (UITFs).
- Operational & Accounting Expertise: Proficiency and hands-on experience in trust accounting systems,
- Audited Financial Statement (AFS) preparation for trust entities, fee computations, corporate actions workflows.
- BSP Compliance & Reporting Mastery: In-depth knowledge of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) regulations governing trust entities, including periodic reports, Basic Security Deposit (BSD) compliance, AML Compliance and timely responses to official BSP inquiry or deficiency letters.
- Risk Management: Strong grasp of Operational Risk Management, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), internal controls, and audit remediation procedures tailored for fiduciary operations.
License / Certification Requirement:
- Preferably a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Preferably a Certified Trust Professional (CTP) or has otherwise completed the one-year Trust Management Course offered by the Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines (TIFP)
