Job Description

About You & the Role

As a Trust Assistant under the Accounting and Reconciliation Department, you will perform key accounting, reporting, monitoring, and reconciliation functions for the Trust and Asset Management Group. You will help maintain accurate financial records, support regulatory and management reporting, and ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulations.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Maintain the Trust and Asset Management Group's Daily Trial Balance
  • Process year-end closing activities and post entries to the Bank's General Ledger
  • Recognize income from trust operations and prepare final accounting reports
  • Reconcile General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledger balances
  • Validate asset balances with third-party custodians, registrars, and counterparties
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other accounts maintained by the Trust and Asset Management Group
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas
  • Prepare internal, management, and audit-related schedules and reports
  • Monitor trust fees, reserves, dormant and escheated accounts, accruals, amortizations, and market valuation
  • Support compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit controls
  • Report covered transactions and manage alerts through the Bank's AML monitoring system
  • Perform daily Net Asset Value pricing for Unit Investment Trust Funds

What Success Looks Like

  • Accurate and properly reconciled General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledger balances
  • Validated asset balances and closely monitored exceptions
  • Timely and compliant submission of regulatory reports
  • Complete and accurate internal and management reports
  • Consistent adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Proper documentation and readiness for internal, external, and regulatory audits
  • Accurate monitoring of trust-related accounts, fees, reserves, and investment fund valuations

Qualifications We Value

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferably majoring in Accountancy
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Good understanding of accounting policies, practices, and internal control concepts
  • Analytical and systematic, with strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
  • Good interpersonal and coordination skills
  • Comfortable working with different units across the Bank and external regulatory and audit institutions
  • Willing to be assigned in Makati, Head Office
