The Marketing Trader is responsible for generating target volume and income based on assigned market coverage and Treasury products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Trading
- Coordinates with different portfolio desks in getting the best market price/rate
- Services client's requirements for all treasury transactions
2.1. Gives regular quotes
2.2. Negotiates and executes deals as confirmed with client
- Encodes deal transactions in the designated system
B. Marketing
- Conducts marketing calls to existing and potential clients to establish rapport and identify client's needs
- Identifies potential clients within target market
- Offers other bank products and services depending on their need, e.g. payroll, cash management
- Coordinates with Account Officer and other business units in servicing and optimizing bank-client relationship
- Provides client with recent market condition and developments
- Consistently be in the look-out for client's needs
C. MIS and Reporting
- Submits periodic performance reports to immediate supervisor
- Provides market feedback and account update to immediate supervisor
- Monitors client's requirements and volume based on budget given
- Performs other function as maybe assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Holder of a Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in Treasury Marketing Sales
- Must be a SEC Licensed Salesman
- Treasury Certification Program (TCP) certified is an advantage
