The Treasury and Accounting Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day treasury activities to ensure sufficient bank funding and effective liquidity management. Reviews the work of team members for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies and standards. Prepares and reviews complex reports such as comparative trial balances and account(daily/monthly) reconciliations.
Treasury Management
- Monitor daily bank balances to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Review and approve fund transfers and investment placements (e.g., Treasury Bills).
- Maintain and update bank records, including authorized signatories and maker/checker assignments.
- Review cash flow reports and coordinate with banks on funding and reconciliation matters.
- Prepare and review ALCO, CAR, and MLR reports, including liquidity and treasury-related reports.
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
- Assist in filing of all required reports and returns to BSP, PDIC, SSS, HDMF, PhilHealth, BIR, and LGUs.
- Maintain complete documentation and audit trail for all submissions.
- Support internal and external audits and compliance reviews.
Financial Reporting and Reconciliation
- Ensure treasury, payables, and accrual accounts are supported by reconciled schedules.
- Review daily and monthly bank reconciliations and serve as back-up preparer when needed.
- Review and resolve reconciling items promptly.
- Prepare and review manual journal entries.
- Prepare and review complex reports such as Comparative Trial Balance and variance analyses.
Team Collaboration and Review
- Review outputs prepared by team members for accuracy and consistency.
- Provide feedback and guidance to ensure efficiency and process improvement.
- Support automation and enhancement of treasury and accounting workflows.
