Position: Team Lead – Travel & Expense (T&E)
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Team Lead – Travel & Expense (T&E) to oversee the day-to-day operations of a dynamic T&E function within a fast-paced, global shared services environment. This is a hands-on leadership role combining operational oversight, data-driven reporting, stakeholder engagement, and people development.
Key Responsibilities:
-Operational Management
- Lead and supervise the T&E team to ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of T&E accounts and resolution of outstanding issues and delinquencies.
- Monitor daily workflows and ensure adherence to internal policies and statutory requirements.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex issues, providing clear resolution guidance and process clarification.
-Performance & Reporting
- Define, track, and report on key T&E KPIs, including policy compliance rates, aging reports, delinquency rates, and reimbursement cycle times.
- Conduct periodic analysis of T&E spend and trends; identify anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present performance dashboards to senior management and key stakeholders.
-People Development
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-performing, engaged, and collaborative team.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, and targeted training sessions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
-Process Improvement
- Identify and implement opportunities for process standardization, automation, and efficiency gains within the T&E function.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Accounts Payable, etc.) to close process gaps and drive improvements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Team Lead or Supervisory role within Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable, or a similar shared services function.
- Strong working knowledge of T&E and ERP systems (e.g., Concur, SAP, Oracle) and reconciliation processes.
- Proven track record in KPI management, reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people development capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Concur, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
