JOB PURPOSE

This role will report to the Agriculture Director and will be responsible for leading and managing the Transcontrol Department. The position will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of hauling activities for base and outside-base farms, including fruit deliveries, planting material hauling, and other transport requirements within the approved Transcontrol budget. The role is accountable for ensuring the continuous, timely, safe, and cost-effective availability of trucks, equipment, drivers, and operators to support Agriculture Operations, cannery requirements, fresh fruit packing operations, and other operating departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Transcontrol Department in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling hauling operations to meet the truck, equipment, driver, and operator requirements of Agriculture Operations, cannery operations, and fresh fruit packing operations.
  • Ensure the timely availability and efficient deployment of bin trucks, bins, forklifts, and related transport resources to maintain an uninterrupted operating link among farms, Harvesting Operations, Agri Equipment Maintenance, Fresh Pines Operations, Packing Plant, and other internal customers.
  • Establish department plans, work standards, performance targets, and improvement programs; monitor execution against commitments, operational risks, service levels, and cost objectives.
  • Ensure that all manpower, truck, equipment, and hauling operations comply with company safety, quality, operating, regulatory, and work standards.
  • Manage the accreditation, availability, and performance of truck drivers, operators, third-party truckers, and hauling service providers to ensure reliable logistical support to operating departments.
  • Build department capability by identifying manpower requirements, training needs, succession concerns, and productivity improvement opportunities to sustain efficient and reliable transport services.
  • Oversee monitoring of truck movements, delivery schedules, trip completion, cycle time, vehicle utilization, service reliability, and overall transport performance to support effective decision-making and resource optimization.
  • Direct truck scheduling, routing, priority alignment, dispatch coordination, and contingency planning with internal customers, fleet resources, and third-party service providers to meet operational timelines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely transport documentation, utilization records, delivery reports, billing support, audit requirements, and performance reports for management review and operational control.
  • Strengthen cross-functional coordination with farms, Harvesting Operations, Agri Equipment Maintenance, Fresh Pines Operations, Packing Plant, and other operating departments to anticipate requirements, resolve constraints, and improve end-to-end hauling reliability.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives through KPI/KAI review, data-driven analysis, issue escalation, action tracking, system utilization, and process improvements to enhance truck utilization, turnaround time, dispatch effectiveness, cost efficiency, and traceability.

Qualifications

  • BS degree graduate of Agriculture, Operations Management, Engineering or Business-related course
  • 5 years experience in fleet management and maintenance, transportation distribution and logistics operations preferably from an agriculture or food manufacturing business
  • Knowledge in Fleet Management and logistics application in agriculture
  • Working knowledge in Agriculture Operations specially in Pineapple production
  • Willing to relocate to and be based in Polomolok, South Cotabato, and work on a full-time onsite arrangement.
