The
Transport Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day field operations for EV Transport OPC. This role will focus on supporting Fleet 4W and 2W Drivers, monitoring and resolving on ground issues to ensure quality service and safety compliance. The Field Officer will act as the link between the drivers, passengers and on-site operations team. This role combines hands-on supervision, driver support, and KPI-driven operations management.
Duties And Responsibilities
Real-Time Fleet Monitoring:
- Overseeing, coordinating, and optimizing the operations of a 4Wheel and 2 Wheel taxi fleet, including tracking vehicle locations and status using GPS and in-house portals.
- Monitor driver activity in assigned zones to ensure compliance with company standards
- Provide on-site support to drivers, including resolving technical or operational issues.
- Conduct on the road spot checks to verify driver and vehicle compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Assist drivers with app-related troubleshooting and onboarding processes.
Fleet Utilization Management
- Maximize car and motorcycle-hours and assist in ensuring efficient deployment of vehicles during assigned shifts.
- Monitor vehicle availability and optimize coverage to meet passenger demand.
- Coordinate with Shift Supervisor and drivers to reduce idle time and improve service efficiency.
Shift Coordination & Team Collaboration
- Assist in planning and coordinating daily schedules, including vehicle and driver allocation per shift.
- Communicate real-time updates regarding driver availability, ride demand, and operational challenges to relevant teams.
- Act as the first point of contact in the field for resolving immediate operational issues during shifts.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure drivers follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and service guidelines.
- Report incidents, accidents, or complaints to the Shift Supervisor or Command Center and HR promptly
- Assist in implementing promotions, or campaigns in the field.
Data & Reporting
- Collect operational data from field activities, including driver performance, ride issues, and passenger feedback.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily field activities and incidents.
- Provide input or recommendations for operational improvements based on field observations.
Others
- Perform other related duties as assigned, whether communicated verbally or in writing, to support the efficient operation of the department.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 23+ years in fleet operations, transport/logistics, or driver support roles. Supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Education: Associate or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transport Management, or related field (preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with TNVS/taxi operations, transport regulations, and safety standards.
- Able to multitask under pressure while managing large driver volumes.
- Amenable to work onsite, 6 days a week, on a rotational shift schedule (AM/PM/Night).
